How The Blockle Safety Device Works

The Blockle safety device is a simple, effective solution that keeps patients secure during transport. By covering the seatbelt release button, it prevents patients from unbuckling themselves while still allowing providers to release the belt instantly when needed.

  • Fast and Easy: Slides into place in seconds with no tools required.

  • Universal Fit: Works with standard EMS and transport seatbelt buckles.

  • Safe and Reliable: Prevents premature unbuckling while allowing rapid removal in emergencies.

  • Trusted Alternative: Helps reduce the need for chemical or physical restraints during transport.

Using
The Blockle Safety Device

Step-by-Step

  1. Slide the safety belt buckle down through the top of the device at an angle along with a little slack for the belt.

  2. Angle the buckle back towards the device and slide into the shroud, aligning the slot in the device with the slot in the buckle.  The red buckle release button should be visible through the release slot.

  3. Pull any excess belt slack away from the buckle and device, ensuring the device and buckle together are able to lay flat against the passenger.

  4. Hold the buckle and device with your thumb at the back of the buckle and insert the metal tongue side of the safety belt through the slot in the device and into the slot of the buckle.

  5. Ensure an audible click is heard and confirm the metal tongue is secured in the buckle as you normally would.

  6. To release, insert the Blockle release device into the release slot, depressing the buckle release, until the metal tongue is released.
